FAMILY BATTLE:‘I’m not Davido’s boy, I’m his daddy’ – Dele Momodu

‘Mr Dele na my boy, Dele na my boy’…. That’s a line by Davido in the song ‘Bahd, Baddo, Baddest’ which all features Falz and Olamide. Before then, it was his punchline, ‘no be by force to go Dubai, abi na wetin cause the fight’ in Humblesmith’s ‘Osinachi’ remix that went viral. Since the baby mama drama between Davido and magazine publisher, Dele Momodu in 2015, Davido has seized every opportunity to take shots at the Ovation publisher.
Mr Dele has now responded to Davido in a rather matured manner. Speaking in Ghana recently, he said, ‘I know that what he’s doing is what most artiste do all over the world to sell record and he has to create controversy. I don’t think David will see me face to face and say I’m his boy, I’m his father. I’m comfortable with it because I can’t fight my child especially now that we are connected for life through that child’.
