90-year-old man kidnapped in Ekiti

Ninety, 90-year old father of Oluwole Adalumo, who owns a hotel in Ikole, Ekiti state, Pa Ajagunna Adalumo was on Wednesday night kidnapped from his house at Oke-Ijebu, Ikole Ekiti.

An eyewitness, Bimbo Ajayi, who is a relative of the victim, told DAILY POST in Ikole on Thursday morning that the abductors came into the premises of the aged man around 8pm.

Ajayi said a man came down from a car parked in front of the house and approached Pa Adalumo in his sitting room under the pretence that the victim’s son – hotelier, sent him to the old manWhen the abductor came out of the house alongside the old man, two other men from the car dragged Baba into their car and drove away before people could suspect their mission.

“We raised alarm to prevent the abduction of Baba but they have left and we were unable to trace the vehicle,” she narrated.

Also speaking on the abduction, one of the youths in the area, Mr Festus Kolade said that the matter was immediately reported at the Police station while the search for the whereabouts of the old man begun.

Kolade, who claimed to be a family member of the victim, said the family was yet to make any contact with the abductors.
