Nigerians Breakout from prison

News: Jail authorities at the Nsukka Jail in Enugu State, Nigeria's South-East district are on the trail of around 15 detainees, who got away on Tuesday.Reports say that the prisoners broke their cells and scaled over the border wall.

The Controller of the Jail, Mr. Lawrence Okonkwo, who affirmed the escape, nonetheless, declined to give the quantity of detainees that got away.

Mr. Okonkwo just the Enugu State Detainment facilities Controller, Mr Isaiah Amariri, can tell the general population the quantity of detainees that got away from, the re-captured ones and endeavors set up to capture those still on the run.

This comes as unsubstantiated reports say that two escapees have been rearrested.

The Enugu rate is coming to fruition two weeks after 13 detainees got away from the Koton Karfe Medium Security Jail in Kogi State.

The Service of Inside, Mr Willie Bassey, reported later that 6 out of the 13 prisoners that got away were re-captured and are back in guardianship.
