Amosun needs military nearness in pained Ogun people group

Ogun State Representative Ibikunle Amosun has encouraged the Government to keep up the military nearness in groups assaulted by suspected pipeline vandals.

The people group, which assaults have brought about killing of a few persons for around three months now, are Elepete, Igbo-Olomu, Ebute-Ibafo and Ogijo, among others.

Amosun, who was joined by the state Magistrate of Police, Mr. Ahmed Iliayasu, Unit Authority, 35 Mounted guns Detachment, Alama, Abeokuta, Brigadier M.S. Dan Walis and other security boss, lauded the Government for its mediation in handling the issue.

The National Government at the weekend had requested military activity on the vandals stowing away in rivulets in the range from where they irregularly assault the groups.

The senator advised town heads and conclusion pioneers in the areas to halt from taking "blessings" from the activists with the perspective of harboring them."I need to claim that the military ought not simply leave this spot that way, yes they (offenders) have fled for evident reasons, they fled when they saw the unrivaled force of the military."

He denounced the abnormal state of monetary damage being done by the activists and encouraged security operators to increase endeavors until the entire territory is "wiped out" of the culprits.
