Okorocha has no energy to cut working days –Imo NLC director

IMO State Director of the Nigerian Work Congress (NLC), Confidant Austin Chilakpu, has announced that Senator Rochas Okorocha does not have the ability to decide working days in the state in spite of what the Nigeria constitution has officially endorsed.

Okorocha had last Friday amid an intuitive session with Writers uncovered that the state official gathering was thinking about slicing the working days from the ordinary five days to three to profit government employees in the state the opportunity of taking part in different organizations to procure additional income to increase their pay rates.

NLC Executive, in his reaction, said the slicing of the unavoidably endorsed working days was past the forces of any state government including that of Imo State.

As per him, the International Work Organization has recommended 40 working

Hours from Monday to Friday which is the thing that the Nigeria constitution has embraced, and in that capacity couldn't be modified on the impulses of the Imo State Governor.

The NLC supervisor further pointed out that open occasions recognized by the Elected Government are recorded in the schedule, taking note of that what the Imo State government was attempting to do was to subvert the laws of the nation.

"Claims by Representative Okorocha that Imo State pays the highest compensations in the whole Southeast is not right in light of the fact that the specialists in the state get the same minimum wage paid by different states and it is not a blessing but rather as a consequence of arrangement. There are states that compensation more than Imo State. I don't know why the representative dependably tries to acquire negative cases," Chilakpu questioned.
